Free veterans’ dinner planned
A group of Fayette County students is hosting a free dinner for veterans and their families (up to five people per veteran) on Monday, Nov. 11 from 5:45 – 8 p.m. in the Rainbow Room at the New Hope Baptist North Campus.  The event will include dinner, veteran speakers, patriotic music, and a raffle. Greek appetizers on sale
The annual Greek Appetizer & Dessert Sale is ongoing until Nov. 8 at St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church.  Handmade spanakopites and tiropites are $10 per dozen; Baklava-$18 per dozen; Kourambiethes and Melomakarona-$15 per dozen; Koulourakia-$8 per dozen. Holy Trinity’s Craft Bazaar set for Nov. 9
Holy Trinity Catholic Church will host its Annual Craft Bazaar Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The event will feature a huge selection of handmade crafts including jewelry, wood working, Christmas decorations and many gift ideas. Food will include homemade tamales, chili, nachos and a variety of baked goods. All proceeds will benefit the Catholic Heart Work Camp Mission Trip in June, 2014.
