Peachtree City resident and New York Times best-selling author Steve Eubanks will give participants at The Citizen’s Books Down South Festival a unique opportunity.
The festival, set for Oct.26 at the former Rivers Elementary School, will bring authors and readers together for the literary event of the season.
Eubanks’s new book, “All American: Two Young Men, the 2001 Army-Navy Game and the War They Fought in Iraq,” will be on sale at the festival prior to hitting the stores and Eubanks will also be discussing the book.
The book tells the story of two football rivals who faced each other in the momentous 2001 Army-Navy Game and who would both go on to serve in the United States military in the Iraq War, according to Amazon.com.
Advance copies of the book have already garnered praise.

Lou Holz, who coached Notre Dame to a national championship and is a featured college football analyst on ESPN was also effusive with his praise.

The book chronicles the stories of West Point cadet Chad Jenkins and Naval Academy midshipman Brian Stann facing off in what would become the most-watched college football game of the decade: the matchup between the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen.
Eubanks, along with other authors, will be at the festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Many will be signing and selling copies of their books. Admission is free.
