We normally do not let published letters in the Citizen Opinion section force us to reply. We refer to the letter [in the] June 25 issue that takes to task the Peachtree City Police Department.
We personally view speeders as violators of our laws. If it takes hiding out of sight to catch violators of the law, then we are for it.
We have found the PTC Police Department employees carry out their jobs according to the law in order to protect the citizens.
We do understand that you being a speeder would like to do away with the hiding policy.
Speeders are the cause of many accidents and deaths. Thanks to the Peachtree City Police for the good job that you do.
