Belle H. Colvin, 80, of Willisburg, Ky., passed away on July 8, 2013, in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Her body has been donated to the Anatomy Registry to advance the medical research and education of Alzheimer’s.
Funeral Service will be held at the Willisburg Cemetery on August 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. Carey and Son Funeral Home in Springfield, Ky. will be handling all funeral arrangements.
Belle was born in Willisburg on August 7, 1932, to Effie Coulter Hardin and Clem Stanley Hardin, better known as Granny and Papa. She went to school at Willisburg High and graduated in 1950. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and Kentucky Big Blue Basketball.
She is preceded in death by: Papa, Granny, Nellie and Dr. George Reed, Lance, Lance Jr. and Gregory McRay, Cleo and Ada Hardin, Joe, Margaret and Gary Hardin, Stanley and Frances Hardin, Leroy and Martha Hardin and Harold Hardin.
Belle is survived by her daughter, Clemene Ramsey, son Charles Scott Colvin and wife Rebecca; sister Ruth McRay; grandchildren Biff Ramsey and Amy, Kipp Ramsey, Tatum Colvin, Charlie Colvin, and Caleb Colvin; great-granddaughter Riley Ramsey; nephews Jack and Wendy McRay, Joy and Jerry Van Pelt, Candy and Mike Barber, Genelle and Bill Themann, Buddie and Luann Hardin, Donnie and June Hardin, Jana and Gary Kistner, Polly Ann and Chip Combs, Bobby Hardin, Danny Hardin, Tanya Hardin, Clemmy Hardin, Jimmy Hardin; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends Ruth Ann Steele, Margaret and Ambrose Jones, Audrey Reid, Dot Brandenburg, Katherine Wallace, Bob Vescio, Karen, Logan and Ethan Harris, Mary and Dave Ermer, Ann and Austin Gray, and Marie Conley.
