Ricky Lee Gauthier, age 65 of Alpharetta, Ga. died April 12, 2013.
Rick was born in 1947 to Rudolph and Edith Kendall Gauthier in Louisville, Ky., and attended Clarksville, Indiana public schools after the family relocated. He earned his bachelors and masters degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where he met and married the love of his life, Clara Fabian Gauthier.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Rick supervised and directed on-board electronic countermeasure during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Independence and around the globe. Throughout his civilian career in sales and marketing, Rick held various positions in different companies, concluding with Yokogawa-Kokusai in Newnan, Ga.
Rick and Clara also traveled extensively, exploring and enjoying the world’s adventures doing fine art photography.
Mr. Gauthier was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Paula Fabian Webster and her husband, Joel C. Webster, of Philadelphia.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Clara, and a nephew, Douglas Warren Webster of Philadelphia.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg, Pa., with military honors provided by the VFW Post 33 from Greensburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in Rick’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, of which he was a volunteer for many years.
