Kiersten Mossburg from Fayetteville, daughter of Charlie and Kristine Mossburg, will be one of 12 students from Xavier University in Cincinnati to participate in an Interfaith Medical Mission to Guatemala.
Mossberg is a junior chemical science major at Xavier, with minors in biochemistry and English. She graduated from Starr’s Mill High School in 2010.
The students will give up a week of their winter break and New Year’s Eve celebrations to serve the village of Patanatik in the Solola Lake mountain region.
Every student also committed to volunteer at least twenty hours at a free clinic upon their return.
