On Sunday afternoon Oct. 7, members of All Saints Anglican Church of Peachtree City held a blessing and dedication ceremony for their land — home of a new church and campus.
The event took place onsite at 149 Ebenezer Road near Ga. Highway 54 in Fayette County. The ceremony was conducted by The Reverends Michael Fry, Ray Greiner, and Bishop David Anderson, who was instrumental in the church’s founding.
The facility will be 12,000 square feet and feature a 280-person sanctuary, separate chapel, fellowship hall, and multiple classrooms. The existing house on the property will be converted into offices, meeting rooms and admin space. A series of covered walkways will give the completed church a cloistered look.
During the ceremony, Fry explained the origins and purpose of All Saints which was founded in 2007. He described it as biblical and apostolic – biblical in that the Bible is the ultimate standard of the Anglican faith and apostolic since the Anglican roots lie in the faith and practice of early Christians.
Anglicanism is a tradition within Christianity comprising churches with historical connections to the Church of England or similar beliefs and worship. Anglican churches comprise the third largest group of Christian churches in the world.
Fry expressed the hope that with the Lord’s help, the facility will attract new members to worship. Members say they are excited about “establishing a permanent location from which to pursue the Lord’s work and touch the entire community.”
All Saints presently meets in a temporary location at 225 S. Peachtree Pkwy in Peachtree City. Additional information can be found at www.ptcanglican.org.
