Senoia area families invited to create ‘Family Files’

Senoia Area Historical Society invites every family in the Senoia area to create their own Family File to be stored in the Research Library located in the Museum at 6 Couch Street, Senoia. These files can contain whatever family history you would like to see documented. For example, family tree information, a written family history, photos, photocopies, newspaper articles, copies of church records, etc. The choice is yours – it’s your Family File.

Bring your file to the Museum on a Friday or Saturday between 1 and 4 p.m. and you will become part of the heritage story of the Senoia area. If you would like assistance with your project or if you have any questions, stop in the museum and talk to one of the friendly docents. Once your information arrives at the museum, it will be placed in an archival file folder and stored in our lateral file cabinet.

Family Files will be available in the Research Library to be used for research purposes. And because your family’s story is always evolving, families are welcome to come in and add to the files at any time.

This project is an exciting addition to our town’s heritage. Your Family File will be a tangible reflection of our community and will help create our sense of identity. After all, the story that is Senoia would not complete without your family.
