GriefShare starts at Holy Trinity
The 14-week GriefShare Christian support group will be offered on Wednesday evenings at Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 7-9 p.m. starting Aug. 8, and on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. beginning Aug, 10. Meetings include a video seminar and an opportunity to interact and share with others who have lost a loved one. Holy Trinity is at 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City next to McIntosh High School. ‘Back to School’ festival set for Aug. 11
New Beginnings Praise and Worship Center will host its annual “Back to School” Festival Saturday, Aug. 11, from 1-6 p.m. This year’s event will have a Car Cruise Show as a main event and will feature fun, games, food, and free school supplies for the kids. Hopewell UMC to host concert Saturday

Boy Scouts sponsor food drive in PTC

Football and cheerleading registration set
McDonough Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville will kick off its Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading season next week for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade. Sign ups are taking place now, and mandatory evaluations or cheerleading orientations will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 16 between 6-7:30 p.m. Practices begin Monday, Aug. 20 and first game is Saturday, Sept. 8. Annual Greekfest coming up in September
Greekfest 2012 wil be held Sept. 15 , beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Dixie Wing Commemorative Air Force Hangar at Falcon Field in Peachtree City.
