Father Dan Hale of Peachtree City was recently installed as the new archdeacon for the Diocese of the Mid-South of the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

As a priest-in-residence at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg, Hale serves as master of ceremonies for Sunday services and, with the appointment to archdeacon, that responsibility will be expanded to include special services such as ordinations and confirmations throughout the diocese. He is chaplain to Bishop David Epps and he serves as a member of the rector’s and parish councils.

For almost two years, Hale has served as the interim vicar of St. Matthew Charismatic Episcopal Church in Hogansville. He also serves as a member of the bishop’s council of the diocese.

Hale and his wife, Stephanie, and their daughter, Amanda, reside in Peachtree City. Their oldest daughter, Sterling, and her husband, Gerry, live in Charlottesville, Va.

The Hales have one grandchild, Isabella.
