Mr. Floyd J. Hendrix of Tyrone passed away July 8, 2012. Mr. Hendrix was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church, The Gideons International and was retired Associate State School Superintendent for many years.
He was the son of the late, Rev. Floyd J. Hendrix, Sr. and Linnie Mae Tullis Hendrix.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Rawls Hendrix of Tyrone; daughter, Lisa Price and her husband Bill of Tyrone; sons, Brian Hendrix and his wife Tomoko of Newnan; Eric Hendrix and his wife Jan of Woodstock; sister, Elizabeth Gunter of Conyers; grandchildren, Melisa Stephens; Morgan Williams; Mary Spencer; Mandy Price; Kenneth Hendrix; Beth Hendrix; Jonathan Hendrix; and great grandchildren, Kylie Williams and Tyler Stephens.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Strickland, Dr. Jerry Cross and Dr. Dale Clark officiating.
