I have a very hard time believing that no one is writing in to the editor regarding this NAACP lawsuit against at large voting in Fayette County. Where are the letters?
This lawsuit, if won by the NAACP, will have a greater impact on this county than anything in the county’s history. I am pretty sure that I am not the only one that sees this.
I don’t see how people can vote solely on color without regard for their real interests, namely the value of their property and quality of life. The preservation of all things that have served to make this county such a fine place to live should be the number one consideration when choosing a candidate.
Shouldn’t we strive for a county “where [candidates for local office] will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”?
