Motorists on Interstate 85 southbound late Sunday night into early Monday morning should keep an eye out for a giant rig that will be driving no faster than 45 mph, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The 31-axle vehicle, which is 18 feet wide, is carrying a 305-ton machine press to LaGrange, Ga.

The vehicle should be easy to spot, as it will be escorted by multiple law enforcement vehicles as it leaves Forsyth, Ga. on the way to Interstate 285 westbound and then enters I-85 southbound, officials said.

The convoy is expected to leave Forsyth at 9 p.m. and will chug its way slowly to arrive in LaGrange at approximately 2 a.m. Monday. Its final destination is the Sewon America, Inc. plant which provides various automotive parts for the KIA Motors Manufacturing Plant in West Point, Ga.

The machine press entered the country at the Port of Savannah and is slated to head to head from Savannah to Forsyth overnight tonight.
