In order to participate in a two week youth mission trip to India, Tristan McGee of Newnan was required to raise a significant amount of money.

One method was “Cuts for a Cause,” an idea conceived by Tristan’s aunt, Joy McGee of Peachtree City.

Mrs. McGee, a hair stylist, offered free hair cuts for men and boys in the fellowship hall of Christ the King Church, Sharpsburg. While the haircuts were free, donations were encouraged.

One haircut recipient was Dan Handley of Peachtree City.

Christ the King Church also received offerings for the mission trip and the needed funds were secured.

Tristan will leave for India on May 28. He is the son of Sean and Andi McGee and the grandson of Deacon Tony and Jeanie McGee, all of Newnan.
