Many people from the community enjoyed the free Marketplace event at Providence UMC last month. Senior minister Warren Huddleston said the most popular additions this year were the Tikvah Airlines flight to the Marketplace and the Wailing Wall.
“Tikvah means ‘hope’ in Hebrew so people ‘flew’ back in time to find hope at the Marketplace,” he said. “Our Prayer Team spoke with visitors and explained how to write their prayers and put them in the slots in the Wailing Wall. At the end of the evening they prayed over all the prayer requests and burned them as an offering to God.”
