Covenant Presbyterian Church will host “A Mini-Course on Literature” by Dr. Sharon M. Sellers during Wednesday Night Ministry. Sellers earned her master’s and Ph.D. in American studies from Emory University and has taught college-level literature for over 30 years.

Covered literature will include classic American short stories by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Willa Cather, and Flannery O’Connor. All materials will be provided. The course will run for four consecutive Wednesdays beginning April 18 at 6:30 pm.

Covenant also welcomes back the Rev. Dr. Brian Cosby for the next Bible Institute series entitled, “What is Reformed Theology?” This three-week seminar will explore the basics of the Reformed faith. Many today who hear the word “Calvinism” cringe. But what did Calvin actually teach? You might be surprised.

Discussion will include the origin of sin, predestination, the extent of the atonement, and whether a person who’s saved will always be saved. The series will run Sunday, April 22, 29 and May 6 from 6 to 7:30 pm.
