A meeting coming up in April sponsored by the Fayette County Issues Tea Party, Senoia Tea Party Patriots and the Democrats against Agenda 21 is geared to explaining what organizers say is a United Nations initiative that will curtail property rights under the guise of sustainability.

The sponsoring groups in referencing Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development said that on June 13, 1992, the United Nations created a 40-chapter document to control the world on the environment called “Agenda 21.” At the U.N. Earth Summit in 1992, President George H.W. Bush signed the document for the United States. Bush stated, “It is the sacred principles in the United Nations Charter to which the American people will henceforth pledge their allegiance.” The Congress never approved it.

In 1995, President Bill Clinton in compliance with Agenda 21 signed an executive order that created a council to implement “Sustained Development” into our local and state governments.

President Obama has stated and promised that we would see “a fundamental transformation of America” and has done a lot to prove it, event organizers said.

The sponsoring groups maintain that citizens should be concerned about losing their property rights, adding that Agenda 21 has been subtly introduced into local government and daily life in many parts of Georgia including Atlanta, Chatham County, Decatur, Fulton County, Savannah, and Lanier County, already.

The Agenda 21 Seminar will be held at the Fayette Family Church located at 1729 Highway 54 just east of Peachtree City on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 pm. Guest speakers will include Victoria Baer and Linda Thrash.

Victoria Baer has been working with the Georgia Senators and House members about Agenda 21. Lamar County Commissioner Linda Thrash has experienced Agenda 21 in her own county.

Tickets for the seminar are currently available and seating is limited. The price of a ticket includes a box lunch.

Purchased before Wednesday, March 21, tickets are $15. Tickets purchased after March 21, but before April 20 are $18. Tickets are $20 on the day of the event.
