0Members of the local Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force were recognized at Thursday’s Peachtree City Council meeting for their upcoming annual World War II Heritage Days event April 14-15. Mayor Don Haddix read a proclamation honoring the Dixie Wing for its work on the project, which is dedicated to re-creating the World War II experience in sights, sounds and educational presentations in honor of those who served in the military campaign.
