Fayette County’s big yard sale is this coming Saturday

    Calling all bargain hunters — Visit over 50 yard sales in one location at the 11th Annual Spring Yard Sale on Saturday, March 31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
     
    Sponsored by the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department, this community-wide sale will be held at the Activities House parking lot at 980 Redwine Road in Fayetteville (next to baseball fields).
     
    Shoppers at past sales have come from Norcross to Macon, Lithonia to Luthersville and everywhere in between. All vendor spots have been sold including the over 14,000 square feet of booth space. Free admission and parking for all bargain hunters.
     
    With something for everyone, expected items for sale include:
     
    • Clothing (infant – adult), baby and early childhood items, dolls, and toys.
     
    • Antiques, home décor, books, videos, music, kitchen and bath accessories.
     
    • Furniture, household items, handmade arts and crafts.
     
    • Lawn mowers, yard equipment, auto supplies, tools and hardware.
     
    • Sports equipment, videos games, electronics and tools.
     
    • Wrought iron decorations, antique linens, old coins, woodcraft, and collectibles.
     
    • Floral arrangements, new and custom-made jewelry, and Avon products.
     
    The Fayette County Parks & Recreation Department offers community yard sales twice a year (spring and fall).
     
    The 12th Annual Harvest Yard Sale is expected to be held in late October with vendor registration starting in August.
     
    Additional information will be listed in the 2012 Fall FCPRD Activity Brochure available in late July. Printed copies of the brochure can be picked up 24 hours/day at 980 Redwine Rd., Fayetteville or viewed online at www.fayettecountyga.gov/parks_and_recreation.
