The kids at Fayette Intermediate School were joined by those from other schools at the Fayette County Board of Education meeting on March 19 to reveal the results of the systemwide effort to collect a variety of items such as toothbrushes and shampoo as part of the United Way-sponsored Shoebox Project for homeless women and children in Fayette County. In all there were 1,122 shoe boxes filled and decorated by the students from all schools.
