Fayette County Post 105 celebrated the founding of The American Legion at their March meeting. March 15 was the 93rd anniversary of the nation’s largest veterans organization in 1919. As is their tradition, the honor of cutting the cake was shared by the longest serving Legionnaire present and the most recent veteran to join up. Denny Leander, left, member for over 42 years, is joined by Willie Dulaney, who joined three months ago. Fayette County Post 105 meets the second Monday of each month at the Log Cabin in Fayetteville. Photo/Special.
