Kent Kingsley, who is a Republican candidate for Georgia’s Third Congressional District seat, will be the guest speaker at the Greater Fayette Republican Women’s Club Luncheon on Thursday, March 8. The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Tim’s Country Kitchen Buffet, 175 Banks Station, Fayetteville.

In 1996, Kent retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel after an extensive career that included assignments in Panama, Korea, Germany and the first Gulf War. Some of his awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Master Parachutist’s Wings and the Pathfinder Badge.  He is a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College where he earned the designation of an Army Strategist.  Kent holds both a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science.

Following retirement from the Army, he taught at Lamar County High School and Gordon College.  He is currently broker/owner of a real estate company
Kingsley was elected Chairman of the Lamar County Commission, the first Republican elected to the commission in Lamar County.  Kent is a long time member of the Republican State Committee. He has been chairman of his local party several times. He has worked on a number of local, state and national campaigns. He is a dedicated conservative who believes in accountability in government. Part of that accountability is Balanced Budget Amendment, Federal Term Limits, and replacing our current tax code with the Fair Tax.

All Republican women are invited to attend.  No reservations are required.  For more information, please call Debby Dickinson, 404-376-4132 or e-mail Denise Ognio, denise@futurestaffnow.com.
