Fayetteville Police reported three burglaries over the Feb. 17 weekend. Two of those occurred in medical offices on Ga. Highway 54 West near Piedmont Fayette Hospital with only a small amount of cash stolen.
Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw said a burglar on Feb. 17 entered the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center office and the Womens Specialists of Fayette office, both located on Hwy. 54 West. Crawshaw said that in both cases the method of entry was unknown, adding that the only thing stolen at each office was petty cash.
Crawshaw added that external security cameras recorded an unknown individual, described only as a black male, walking around the area on numerous occasions during a 10-day period prior to the break-ins.
A burglary also occurred over the weekend at a residence on Adam Ridge Lane in the Villages at Lafayette development. Crawshaw said the homeowner returned home on Saturday night, entering through the garage. Once entering the house it was found that a forced entry had been made through a living room window.
Crawshaw said jewelry and jars of change were stolen.
