Fayetteville First UMC’s S.A.G.E. heads for Cartersville

The S.A.G.E. group (senior adults going everywhere) at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church have scheduled a trip to the Tellus Science Museum in Cartertsville for their February outing.

The trip is planned for Monday, Feb. 27, leaving the church at 9 a.m. and returning at 4 p.m.

The cost is $15 per person and includes museum, planetarium show and transportation. Lunch will be on your own at the museum cafe.

The 120,000 sq. ft. museum is constructed on the site of the former Weinman Mineral Museum. In addtion to the Weinman gallery, the museum also houses galleries for fossils. science in motion, as well as planetarium and observatory. Other special exhibits will include Earth from Space created by the Smithsonian Institution and the Nikon Small world Photomicrography.

In March, the group will travel to Atlanta for the Passages Exhibit where they will “experience the Bible as never before.”

All trip dates are subject to change and are based on driver availability and a 15 person minimum.
