Thieves over the weekend stole guns, a video game and alcohol from two Fayetteville residences.
A Feb. 2 burglary occurred at the Weatherly Walk Apartments left the resident missing four rifles and a bottle of whiskey, said Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw.
Crawshaw said the resident returned home at approximately 11:30 p.m. to find his front door somewhat difficult to open. Upon entering the apartment he noticed that a bottle of whiskey was missing from a counter. A further check of the apartment showed that the front door had been forced open and that four rifles were missing.
Another burglary occurred Feb. 5 at a residence on Rabbit Run off North Glynn Street. Crawshaw said a an unknown person entered the home through an unlocked bedroom window. The only item stolen was a Playstation video console, Crawshaw said.
