The Peachtree City Police Department is seeking applicants for its upcoming Citizens Police Academy, which will meet Tuesday nights from March 13 through May 15.
Participants will get to learn about the wide range of duties handled by the department, as the class will be taught by experienced police officers.
The class is free but space is limited to the first 30 selected applicants. Applicants must be at least 18 and either a city resident, local business owner or a city employee.
Applicants will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement, and they also will be subject to a criminal history and driver’s license background check as a pre-condition to acceptance into the academy.
The classes will be held in the evenings between 6:30 and 9 p.m.
The application deadline is March 1.
