The Peachtree City Library will be closed Friday, Jan. 13 through Monday, Jan. 16 to implement a “major upgrade” to the PINES computer network, officials said.
During the weekend, PINES will be offline, making the circulation system unavailable to both library staff and patrons, officials said.
Because of that shutdown, patrons are asked to hang onto their materials until the library reopens Tuesday, Jan. 17. No late fees will be assessed over the weekend, officials said.
The new software will fix security vulnerabilities and other problems with the network, according to a posting on the PINES website.
