Students in Mrs. Hossbach’s second grade class at Peeples Elementary donated money this year to support the local organization “Embracing Military Families” instead of buying a holiday teacher’s gift   This organization supports the children of active duty soldiers based at Fort Benning here in Georgia.

This year’s goal was to provide 2,000 toys and assistance for families who especially needed a helping hand during the holiday season.   Mrs. Hossbach’s class was chosen to adopt a wounded warrior’s young family of five children.  The donations collected were used to purchase jackets and pajamas for the children.

Mrs. Hossbach explained that Peeples’ parents have had a long standing history of generosity and are quick to respond when a need arises.  What a blessing to be able to help a real hero and his family.
