Touring some of Senoia’s historic homes is an annual event and that time has come again. The Senoia Candlelight Tour of Homes will be held this Sunday, Dec. 11, from 5-8 p.m. and will feature six beautifully decorated historic homes.

Senoia Downtown Development Authority Chair Suzanne Helfman said history and the town’s many historical venues are a mainstay of the city’s tourism efforts. Those efforts will be front and center Sunday afternoon when visitors will be able to tour the homes that include:

-Blount-Kovarik home at 319 Johnson Street (circa 1900)

-Brown-Allen home at 180 Seavy Street (circa 1880)

-Presbyterian Church-Smoak home at 386 Pylant Street (circa 1892)

-Thompson house at 441 Pylant Street (circa 1900)

-Rosewood Cottage-Wood home at 468 Pylant Street (circa 1890)

-Senoia Historical House and Museum at 6 Couch Street (circa 1870)

Helfman said tickets will be available before the day of the tour at Senoia Coffee and Cafe, Gail’s Antiques, Beyond the Door and Secondhand Sams for $12 each and on the evening of the tour at the new location of the Senoia Welcome Center at 68 Main St. for $15 each.

“Come to historic downtown Senoia early on the day of the tour to shop and dine. Many of the downtown shops and restaurants will be open and offering ‘home tour specials,’” Helfman said.

The Senoia Candlelight Tour of Homes is sponsored by the Senoia Downtown Development Authority. For more information contact Suzanne Helfman at 770-599-8182 or Gail Downs at 770-599-9155.
