Mr. Hillery Alton (Al) Wise, Jr. of Tyrone, passed away on Sept. 20, 2011.
Mr. Wise spent most of his working life in the restaurant business having owned Catfish Hollow in Tyrone and Sharpsburg and Golden’s on the Square Restaurant in Historic Downtown, Newnan.
Al was a charter member of Southcrest Church, a United States Marine veteran, and he graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in finance.
His keen sense of humor and love of his Lord and others will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maridee Raye Wensel Wise; son, Robert Alton Wise and his wife, Lauren of Newnan; daughter, Marceil Wise Ousley and her husband, Matt of Newnan; mother-in-law, Dorothy P. “Mom/Nama” Hendrickson; grandchildren, Aiden Alton Wise, Macayla Raye Ousley, Ethan Alton Wise, and a host of other adopted grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Southcrest Church with Pastor Jeff Chandler officiating. Those wishing may send an online condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com
