Mrs. Betty Joyce Buehl, of Riverdale, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at the age of 75.
Mrs. Buehl was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. She was a very generous person who was willing to assist others in their times of need, whether it was sitting with those who were ill or preparing special dishes for them in her kitchen. It’s said that she was an amazing cook, but she would very willingly clean up after others who chose to do the cooking for her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Max Herman Willie Buehl Jr., and her daughter, Sylvia Patterson Baker.
Mrs. Buehl is survived by her children; Charles E. Patterson Jr., of Riverdale, Doris Maxine Buehl of Riverdale, Freddy A. Buehl and his wife Ginger of Fayetteville, James Jeff Buehl and his wife Cathy of Dandridge, Tenn., Jackie Jozan and her husband Gus of Fayetteville; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Virginia Bernice Buehl and Glenda Darlene Norton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Interment will follow in College Park Cemetery, College Park, Ga.
The family received friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
