Louise Dickinson Webb, 58, beloved wife of Bill, died September 3, 2011 of complications from ovarian cancer.
She was born on May 5, 1953 to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob McGavock Dickinson, III of Nashville, TN. She graduated from the Harpeth Hall School in 1971 and from the University of Tennessee with a BA in 1975.
She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Jacob McGavock Dickinson, III and IV.
In addition to her husband, Bill, and her mother, Betty, she is survived by her son Murray, 26; her daughters Taylor, 23, and Elizabeth, 21, all of Fayetteville, GA; her granddaughter Lillian Louise of New Orleans; her sister, Libby Jackson (Charlie), of Nashville, TN; her sister, Ida Dunbar (Bruce), of Birmingham, AL; her cousin, Thomas Dickinson of Nashville, TN and her many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed serving as Secretary of the Fayette County Republican Party, belonging to her Sunday School class at New Hope Baptist Church, and volunteering for the Fayette Youth Protection Home and the Pregnancy Resource Center of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church (551 New Hope Road, Fayetteville, GA 30214) with reception to follow. Interment will be Friday, September 9, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, GA, with reception to follow.
