With regard to your article on the possibility that Chris Snell will be removed as director of the Fayetteville Library due to lack of funds, I am shocked to think anyone in county government would allow this to happen.
Without question, it has been her leadership that has made the library a place where all Fayette County citizens’ needs and interests are met.
As a senior citizen in this county, few services are available to us for the tax dollars we provide. We need to find the local funds necessary to keep Chris as the library’s director.
In case you haven’t visited the library lately, go there on any day. Notice the children’s faces as they proudly carry their books, adults of any age making use of the computers, the excitement of those coming from the classes offered.
Pay attention to those who work in the library and are available to anyone needing help. Chris plays an integral leadership in these services and much more.
After your visit, you will want to join us in asking the commissioners to find the funds to keep Chris.
