Three teenagers were arrested early Tuesday morning after an officer spotted a suspicious skateboarder in a south Fayetteville subdivision around 5 a.m., police said.
The skateboarder dropped the box, which turned out to be a safe, and ran away from the officer in the Lakemont subdivision, police said. A police K-9 unit and other officers conducted a search which led to a home on GlenWood Lane where one person was found hiding in the bushes and two were hiding inside the house. The subdivision is located off Redwine Road in the southwestern part of Fayetteville.
One of the suspects lived in the GlenWood home, police said. The investigation showed that the three had entered a Lakemont home twice during the night, taking several guitars, speakers, an Xbox video game system and games along with two safes that were recovered from the scene, police said.
Arrested were Ryan Pfaffman, 17, of Fayetteville, Kemanu-Asser Supreme Black, 17, of Fayetteville and a 15-year-old male juvenile, police said. All three were charged with loitering, underage possession of alcohol and two counts of burglary, officials said.
