Piggy-backing on the popular Lunch on the Lawn series, Fayetteville Main Street is excited to host its first Dinner on the Lawn on the grounds of the Historic Courthouse square this Friday, June 24. This all-ages, community event is open to everyone and will have award-winning food and live entertainment from 6-8 p.m.
Cheers Family Sports Grill, whose samplings were voted Best Taste at the 2011 Taste of Fayette, will be serving chicken and rib dinners for $8 per person. While enjoying their dinner, attendees will be treated to the acoustic sounds of The Brilliant Inventions performing on the outdoor stage throughout the evening.
Alongside the festivities, the 2012 Ford Focus “Drive with Purpose” Tour will be there showcasing their new energy efficient car, and will donate $2 for every person that test drives a Ford Focus to D.A.D.S, a local charity that works to raise awareness and money for children with down syndrome. The cars will be on display and ready to test drive during the event.
Main Street Director, Brian Wismer, wants to encourage everyone to come out and support this new event.
“We have had many people tell us that are unable to attend Lunch on the Lawn for whatever reason, and would love to have something like it in the evening that they could attend. Well, this is it, and we’re excited that we could coordinate it along with the Ford Focus tour to give the whole thing some added impact,” said Wismer.
