Augusta man charged in credit card theft

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on June 17 announced the arrest of an Augusta man on charges related to the theft of credit cards stolen at a Fayetteville restaurant then fraudulently used in Fayette County and in Atlanta.

Thirty-one year-old Antonio Larry, of Augusta, was charged on June 1 with with entering auto, financial transaction card fraud, and 12 counts of financial transaction card theft, according to sheriff’s office spokesperson Brent Rowan.

Rowan said the case involved Larry unlawfully entering into a parked vehicle at Frank’s at the Mill Restaurant on Ga. Highway 54 on April 16 and stealing credit cards.

The stolen credit cards were later used at convenience stores in Fayette County and Atlanta, Rowan said.
