In response to the April storms, the North Georia United Methodist Conference Disaster Response Team has set up a call center to help match cleanup and repair needs with volunteer teams. The phone number for the Call Center is 678-533-1443. Email the call center at [email protected].

In Griffin (Spalding County), volunteer teams are needed for tree removal. Bobcats with claws on the front are needed for moving cut trees. Contact Bill Hightower, 404-402-0480.

In Manchester (Meriwether County) chain saws for tree removal and debris cleanup are needed, as are bobcats or small tractors to move trees to curb for pickup. Contact Steven Soulen, 706-601-5368.
