Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn L. Gaissert II of Alpharetta announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Claire, to Ronald Brian Braley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Braley of Fayetteville.
The bride-elect is a 1994 graduate of Chattahoochee High School. She earned an associate’s degree from Reinhardt University in Waleska, and completed a bachelor of science degree in sociology from the University of West Georgia in 1999. She attended acting and modeling classes at John Robert Powers in Atlanta, landing several roles as a extra in movies such as “The Fighting Temptations” and “We Are Marshall.” She currently is an administrative assistant with Thomson-Reuters Tax Services, Inc..
The groom-to-be is a 1992 graduate of Fayette County High School. He earned a B.B.A. degree in finance from Georgia State University in 1997. He attended Flight Safety Academy in Vero Beach, Fla., where he was an instructor until 2000. He currently is a captain with Atlantic Southeast Airlines.
An April wedding is planned in Roswell. Following a honeymoon to Antigua, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
