Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Hanie of Senoia announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Anne Hanie, to Robert Edward Fleming, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Fleming, Jr. of Waleska.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hines of Dahlonega and Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Hanie of Phenix City, Ala. She is a 2003 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She currently teaches kindergarten in Gwinnett County.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Shirley Fleming and the late Ronald Fleming of Long Beach, Miss., and Ms. Diane Jackson and the late Ed Jackson of Gulfport, Miss. He is also a 2003 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Georgia Tech in 2007 and is currently enrolled at Georgia State University with plans to pursue a career as a physicians’ assistant.
The wedding will take place in April of 2011 in the North Georgia mountains. Following the ceremony, the couple will reside in Buckhead.
