0Ms. Mary E. McCord, 85, of Newnan, GA formerly of Fayetteville, GA died January 19, 2011.
She was born in Garfield, GA to D.C. Johnson & Josie Lawrence Johnson. Ms. McCord was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband David McCord of Newnan, GA; daughter Elaine Pyron & her husband Ken of Newnan, GA; granddaughters Tracy DeMetz & husband Rob of Newnan, Amy Widener & husband Terry of Thomasville and grandson Jason Pyron of Newnan, GA; great-grandchildren Carleigh & Brianna Myatt of Newnan, GA and Luke & Ian Widener of Thomasville, GA; brother David Johnson & wife Lena of Appling, GA; sisters Emmie Jo Coats & husband Ronnie of Stockbridge, GA and Nancy Mares of Covington, GA along with several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Chapel, Peachtree City, GA with Rev. Jim Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Heatherwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 721 Shenandoah Blvd., Newnan , GA 30265 .
