Peachtree City is hoping to go back to its original plan for building a cart path along Camden Apartments that leads from the currently-unused path tunnel underneath MacDuff Parkway.

Camden officials had asked the city to consider a different alternative for the project, but that will be far too expensive, the Peachtree City Council was told last week.

The project would have come it at over $400,000, officials said. The city will ask Camden if it will donate the needed right of way for the less costly proposal, according to City Manager Bernie McMullen.
