Mindy Lynne Turner and Adam Preston Beckett were married on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at their lake home on Pine Lake in West Point. The Rev. Paul Fredette of Boston, Mass., uncle of the groom, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth G. and Lynda Turner of Peachtree City. She is the granddaughter of John D. English and the late Jean Y. English of Peachtree City and Donna D. Turner and the late Kenneth G. Turner, Sr. of Sharpsburg.
The groom is the son of Billy and Michelle Beckett of Peachtree City. He is the grandson of the late Gerard and Georgette Fredette of Boston, Mass. and Hazel Trula Beckett and the late Billy Neil Beckett of Princeton, W.Va.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown of organza over taffeta and lace with small pearls, and an heirloom headpiece and pearls. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of sunflowers.
The only attendant for the wedding was the couple’s Chihuahua, Chloe, who wore a pink taffeta gown.
The wedding ceremony was held outdoors on the couple?s dock over the water under a rustic arbor. The reception was held outdoors at the couple’s home.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City and a 2003 graduate of Georgia State University. She is presently working on her master’s degree in mental health counseling.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School in Fayetteville. He is presently working as a home health care provider while pursuing a degree in sports psychology at Capalla University.
After honeymooning in St. Petersburg, Fla. the couple resides at their home on Pine Lake.
