Christmas Tour of Homes is this Saturday, Sunday

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church’s 2010 Christmas Tour of Homes is Sat., Dec. 4 and Sun., Dec. 5 from 1 – 5 p.m. The community is invited to tour beautifully and seasonally decorated homes including the 1855 Holliday Dorsey Fife House and Prime Financial.

This year, a special addition to the Tour of Homes features Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy’s personal collection of more than 100 classic and antique cars, many with unique histories, on display. The Classic and Antique Car Tour will be open Saturday only on Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Chick-fil-A lunches as well as Cathy’s autobiographies will be for sale at the car tour.

On Sunday, Dec. 5, FFUMC will host a free luncheon from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the church. Donations will be accepted. During the luncheon, there will be a gift basket silent auction.

The luncheon is open to anyone in the community.

Tickets are $15 for adults and includes a tour of three homes, the Holliday Dorsey Fife House Museum, Prime Financial and admission to the Classic and Antique Car Tour on Saturday only. Tickets for children ages 3 – 11 are $5 and under 2 are free. Children are welcome at the Classic and Antique Car Tour, Prime Financial and the Holliday Dorsey Fife Home. Tickets include the location of the homes and Car Tour. As a courtesy, no cameras, cell phones or smoking are allowed at any of the personal homes.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the tour and gift basket auction will benefit three missions: The Advantage Haiti mission, SafeHouse Outreach, and Blessing Our Schools program.
