Caroline Jessie Jones and James Matthew Holt were married at First Baptist Church Opelika, Ala.on July 10, 2010. Pastor Cade Farris conducted the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Jones of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Jessie Marie Bishop and the late Max W. Bishop of Ailey, Ga., and the late Cecil and Alma Jones of Broadstairs, England. She is a 2006 graduate of Landmark Christian School and a 2010 graduate of Auburn University.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Holt of Madison, Ala. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, Jr. of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Mrs. and Mrs. Gene Holt of Jamestown, Tenn. He is a 2006 graduate of Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala. and a 2010 graduate of Auburn University.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory satin gown with intricate bead detailing and a cathedral train accented by a cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of lilies, gardenias and delphinium.
Katie Larson of Peachtree City served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Patce Dutcher and Jessie Dutcher of Atlanta, Ala Bishop of Ailey, Erin Archibald and Claire Jackson of Auburn, Ala., and Allison Holt of Madison, Ala. Guest book attendants were Lacey and Rose Bishop of Ailey.
Shane Fry of Madison, Ala. served as best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother Lt. Robert Jones of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Tim Burnam, Craig Langhout and Scott Winfrey of Auburn, Ala., and Matt Madisetty and Alan You of Madison, Ala.
Following the ceremony, a luncheon reception was held at the 3:16 Center at the church.
After a honeymoon to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, the couple now resides in Auburn, Ala., while the groom attends graduate school.
