Mrs. Wanda Burgess, 74, of Senoia, died October 8, 2010.
She was born May 8, 1936 in Morgan County, Kentucky, the youngest daughter of ten children. Her love for children was exhibited by her thirty years of service as a nationally certified preschool teacher. Most recently, she also an AWANA leader and Vacation Bible School volunteer at Woolsey Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Harold Burgess of Senoia and son Robert H. & Lori Burgess and grandson Sam Burgess, all of Peachtree City; three sisters Thelma Elam and Elizabeth Clayton, both of Middletown, Ohio, and Clemeth Morrison of Johnson City, TN; brother Larry & Connie Crouch of Frenchburg, KY, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City (200 Robinson Road). Rev. Chuck Chambers will officiate. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
