PTC Presbyterian youth will receive Eagle Scout Award

Jackson Cole Frawley of Peachtree City, a member of First Presbyterian Church, Peachtree City, has earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award.

Frawley will be recognized in ceremonies this fall at First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City.

A member of Flint River Council Troop 211, Frawley is one of approximately four percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank, according to Scoutmaster Jeff Roberts.

Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community or church related service project to earn his Eagle; Frawley chose to build benches on the playground at Oak Grove Elementary School.

He has served as Senior Patrol Leader and has participated in the High Adventure activities at Double H in New Mexico and Boundary Waters in Canada.

Frawley is active in his church youth group, baseball and basketball. He is a Junior at Starr’s Mill High School.

He is the son of Jim and Robin Frawley of Peachtree City.
