Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth William Robuck of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Ann Robuck, to Dr. Andrew James Rivers, son of Dr. and Mrs. Dexter Rivers of Mobile, Ala.
The bride-to-be is the grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Robuck of Birmingham, Ala.and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Monroe of Macon, and the late Mrs. Shirley Monroe of Macon. She is a 2001 graduate of McIntosh High School, a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University, where she received a bachelor of nutrition and food science, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she earned a doctorate in physical therapy. She is currently practicing as a pediatric physical therapist at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rivers of Newburg, N.Y. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pollock of Sun City Center, Fla. He is a 2000 graduate of Murphy High School, a 2004 cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business finance, and a 2009 graduate of UAB’s dental school where he earned his doctorate of medical dentistry, DMD. He is currently practicing dentistry in Charlotte, N.C.
The wedding will be Sept. 18, 2010, at Children’s Chapel on Lake Martin, Ala. Following a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Charlotte, N.C.
