Warr-Gober Engagement

Dr. and Mrs. Charles Warr of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Valerie Anne Warr, to James Kevin Gober, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gober, also of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Oakley of Fayetteville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Warr of Jonesboro. She is a graduate of Fayette County High School and earned an associate of arts degree from Gordon College, and a bachelor or science degree in middle grades education from Georgia College & State University. She also completed a master of arts degree in library media technology at the University of West Georgia. She is currently employed by the Fayette County Board of Education as a fourth grade teacher at Fayetteville Intermediate School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Vivian Bea Gober of Winder, the late Milton Gober of Birmingham, Ala., the late Charlie Bowling of Birmingham, the late Annie Bowling Williamson of Birmingham, and the late Jessie Williamson of Birmingham. A graduate of Fayette County High School, he attended Samford University and the Georgia Institute of Technology to earn bachelor of science degrees in mathematics and civil engineering. He has also completed a master of divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently employed as an independent contractor based in Fayetteville.

The wedding will be July 10, 2010, at Woolsey Baptist Church in Fayetteville. The couple will reside in Senoia.
