Mr. Wylie Ernest Richardson, 90, of Jonesboro, died on June 26, 2010.
Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his parents, Junious Mitchell and Nancy Mae Richardson; brothers, Elton Richardson and Jewell Richardson; sisters, Marell Kersch and Orene Nixon.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy J. (Robertson) Richardson; sons, Mickey Richardson of Oxford, Wayne Richardson of Griffin, and Tim Richards and his wife Cindy of Palmetto; daughters, Carolyn Edmundson and her husband Kelly of Florida, and Patsy Voyles and her husband Dale of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Royce Richardson and his wife Martha of Fayetteville, and James V. Richardson of Fayetteville; sisters, Willonell White of Griffin, Mildred Price of Texas, and Hazel Nipper Valdosta; cousin and best-friend, Edward Maddox of Riverdale; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Reverend Carlton Swicegood officiating. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
