The Fayetteville Police Department Wednesday arrested two people for a reported residential burglary in the city.
On May 26 the Fayetteville Police Department received a 911 call of a possible burglary. Police stopped a car leaving a home on Annelle Park Drive, said department spokesperson Steve Crawshaw. Items from a previous burglary were found in the car along with two guns, Crawshaw said.
Crawshaw said Leander Jamaal Purdom, 19, and Deangelo Vetrail Gaines, 19, both from Jonesboro, were arrested. Both are being charged with burglary, attempted burglary, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to Crawshaw. Further charges may be pending, Crawshaw added.
